stayed here with my wife and daughter for 8 nights. The apartment is well presented and functional with kitchen equipment, dishwasher and a washing machine. It is located in a quiet side street and is very secure. The neighbourhood seemed safe which is something you have to consider in a big city like LA where the type of neighbourhood can differ dramatically in a few blocks. It is located just off the 10 freeway to Santa Monica and is centrally placed for attractions such as Magic Mountain, Disneyland and Raging Waters which are all approximately 30 miles away. Santa Monica is about 7 miles away and Hollywood is a similar distance. We had a hire car and I think you would need one to get around from this location. Be prepared for the traffic as driving in LA involves plenty of sitting in traffic jams with the 10 freeway being particularly busy in my experience. The owner Jim lives upstairs and is very helpful with advice and tips to help you out. He also provided a good service when booking the apartment and was also kind enough to let us check in a bit early on our first day. The apartment has good air con which was vital when we were there as it was very hot. We really enjoyed our stay and given the location and quality of the accomodation I think this property represents excellent value for money.

We rented the one bedroom apartment from July 25-August 3/15. The pictures are spot on. The apartment was spotless, and suited our needs perfectly. The area is quiet, nice and safe. The grounds are so pretty, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time relaxing in the back yard. The kitchen is large and spacious and has everything you need. Grocery stores and restaurants are a short distance away and there was never an issue to find parking on the street in front of the property. (make sure to use the Ralph's discount card that is located in one of the kitchen drawers!) I only wish we would have found the lovely restaurants in Culver City earlier in our visit!
Jim was a pleasure to do business with-so professional and courteous. We would most definitely recommend this property and/or return ourselves.

We (a college friend of mine and my 12 year old daughter) recently spend 10 days at Jim's lovely and well-appointed apartments. From start to finish our experience there was superb: it was easy to reach Jim at all times via phone or text and he was unfailingly helpful. Because of the popularity of his apartments we ended up spending our first 3 nights in 2026 before moving to 2024. I'm glad that we had the chance to compare and contrast the two. Both are comfortable and have all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. 2026 is definitely larger and a bit more quiet. We were also very satisfied with 2024 even though it was slightly more noisy as we could sometimes hear footsteps from the apartment above. Nevertheless it was never enough to really disturb us. The dishwashers and washing machines in both units were easy to operate and Jim was great about giving us enough supply of detergent to start us off.
The apartments are extremely well-located and being only a few blocks from an entrance to the 405 freeway was a definite advantage in that we could get anywhere in LA very quickly. Jim gave us recommendations for local places to shop and even had the necessary shoppers' cards so that we could take advantage of the discounts. Throughout our stay Jim was great-- he even printed out entrance tickets for us to various attractions.
I grew up in LA not too far from Westview and have to come back every year to look after property of my own. I plan to make it a point to stay again in one of these wonderful apartments on my next trip.
The only thing I can reproach Jim for is that the quality of his apartments has spoiled me for other short-term rental properties!

We (my wife, 1yo son and myself) stayed at 2024 West View St. for 4 months (January to May 2015) and the experience was simply great. The 1 bedroom apartment was just as advertised and includes everything needed for short or long-term vacation. The unit is well accessible and fully furnished. All the rooms are spacious and have everything needed: cutlery and pots-pans in the kitchen, towels in the bathroom and linen for the bedroom. Wi-fi worked very well throughout our stay and the unit has 2 TV-sets with full cable-TV access. The location of the property is also very good: all major attractions (Hollywood, Santa Monica, downtown) are within 10-20 min driving range and even the public transportation is easily accessible. West View Street is in a quiet neighborhood so we felt very safe to take a walk any time of the day and the property itself is gated. For small children, there is a good playground close by between W Adams Blvd and W Jefferson Blvd (Vineyard Recreation Center). There were always plenty of parking spaces on the street in front of the property. However, the best experience was the landlord’s professionalism and attitude. Jim was always quickly available when needed and very friendly. He took time to answer our questions and gave us good recommendations about sights and attractions in LA and beyond. I very much recommend this property.

Our second winter in Los Angeles proved to be a spectacular experience thanks to our stay and host at 2026 West View Street. Jim provided us with a home away from home that made us comfortable and accommodated. The apartment was just as advertised and maybe even better than shown in the listing. The apartment was well furnished with very comfortable beds, refreshing steam showers, a fully stocked kitchen, and a barbecue grill that we used constantly. Everything we need for our stay. All amenities were available to us. We enjoyed the lovely outside yard. We were even treated to 2 or 3 dozen birds of paradise from Jim's yard. The apartment is gated and very secure. We felt safe and protected during our entire stay. The neighborhood was lovely and provided us with a lovely place for our morning walks. Parking our car was on the street was never a problem as there were always adequate parking spaces. We have found our new home in Los Angeles! We had a blissful 3 month stay (January-April).

There were four of us who stayed at this home and we loved every minute of it. As a California native I knew this property would be Central to everything Los Angeles has to offer. Jim was great and very easy to talk to, he even let us order the fight. Not only will I be back but I will be referring my friends and family to Jim when they need a place to stay in the Los Angeles area.

We 4 friends (2 couples) stayed in west view 2 bedroom apartment for our LA weekend trip and it was perfect!
It was a quite, nice, clean and comfortable apartment. it was well equipped(except for bath products, but no issue as we were carrying it ourselves). It is ideally located and safe. This is a Gem at a great price! would definitely recommend if looking for affordable, nice and moderate place! enjoy your stay!

My group of four rented both the 2024 & 2026 units. We were working ona construction site in downtown LA and we're really impressed that with only a 11 minute commute to downtown during RUSH HOUR! Both units had beautiful hardwood floors, granite slab counters, great mattresses, flat screen tv's, washer and dryers. The units were exceptionally clean and located in a great neighborhood and is totally secure with a gated 8' tall privacy fence around the perimeter of the property that creates a awesome courtyard behind the units. We even barbecued in the courtyard one evening. James was highly professional and very accommodating. We highly recommend these units.

We stayed at the two bedroom and one bedroom property for 3 nights. The place is super! Perfect location, close to everything you want to visit in LA: Venice Canals, Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills, Griffith Observatory, Downtown, Santa Monica Pier, Malibu and all the tourist attractions.
The neighbourhood is quiet and nice. Property is very well maintained. The apartments are clean, cosy and have all the amenities you need for short or long term rental. The back yard is amazing!
Jim is a very kind, discreet, helpful and generous person. We felt like we were the only people in the house. Thanks to Jim we had a wonderful vacation in LA while feeling at home.
We will be more than happy to come back and rent the property again! We recommend the place and the host!

My husband and I spent a month at 2024 West View Street and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The apartment is spacious, well decorated, cosy, comfortable and has all the facilities (and more) you could possibly need. It is conveniently located close to the freeways and Culver City restaurants and supermarkets, with LAX only a 20 minute drive away. There is plenty of street parking in front of/near the apartment which was great as we had rented a car for the duration of our stay.

Above all Jim was a very accommodating, kind and approachable host. We found this property to be great value as compared to staying in a hotel and would highly recommend it. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in LA.
